Zinc works factory - Industrial Hobart

On the banks of the River Derwent in Hobart is the massive zinc works factory.  I captured this as wild weather was coming in over Mt Wellington (as it so often does) and soon after the sparodic sunshine left and the rain set in, just had enough time to capture the mood of this 20th Century giant.

  1. Fantastic photo, Thomas. What I used to see as ugly polluting industry is now tinged with nostalgia as industry closes down and is largely not replaced by clean energy producing and fired concerns. All of this is captured, for me, in your photo.
